ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

We  acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which live, work and gather. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and to all First Nations peoples carrying culture forward. Sovereignty was never ceded — this always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.

Always was, Always will be

Grounded in Country,
guided by community.

WHO WE ARE

B

e One Collective is an Aboriginal-led organisation working as a peak body to strengthen collaboration between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal services. We bring together cultural knowledge holders, artists, community leaders and services to support culturally informed approaches that strengthen communities.

We work across sectors to build partnerships, share knowledge and support initiatives that promote cultural connection, creative expression and community-led solutions. Our work is grounded in respect for Country, guided by cultural knowledge, and shaped by the priorities of the communities we walk alongside.

"We hold space for culture, carry responsibility for community, and pass knowledge forward  —  so that future generations inherit something stronger than what we found."

From cultural advisory and capability building to creative engagement, sector collaboration and community-led program design, our work is shaped by the belief that cultural sits at the centre of strong communities and that genuine partnership begins with listening, trust, and shared responsibility.

OUR THREE PILLARS

Our work is shaped by three guiding pillars drawn from cultural knowledge — each one way of holding, sharing and carrying forward what matters.

02 /  Pillar

Coolamon

Holding community

The coolamon symbolises care, responsibility and carrying what is important. This pillar reflects supporting community, holding space for culture and ensuring programs and services nurture wellbeing, belonging and cultural strength.

Songlines

Guiding the path

Songlines represent the pathways of knowledge, story and movement across Country. This pillar focuses on sharing cultural knowledge, truth-telling and strengthening understanding of Aboriginal histories, identity and creative expression.

03/  Pillar

Fire

Keeping knowledge alive

Fire represents responsibility, renewal and the passing of knowledge from one generation to the next. This pillar focuses on leadership, cultural learning and creating opportunities for communities to grow and carry knowledge forward.

OUR FRAMEWORK

A culturally grounded framework that holds our vision, values and ways of working. Each element carries a responsibility — together they shape how we listen, gather, govern, lead and account for our work.

WHERE WE WORK

From Western Sydney
to communities across Country.

Be One Collective is grounded in Western Sydney and works with communities, services and partners across Australia. Our reach is shaped not by geography alone, but by relationships — with Elders, with services, with families, with cultural knowledge holders.

Wherever we work, we begin the same way: with listening, with respect for Custodians of that place, and with a commitment to ensure cultural knowledge stays held by those who carry it.
